“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. ”
AWANA is an international children club for kids of 3-14 years old.
The AWANA name is derived from the first letters of Approved workmen are not ashamed as taken from
2 Timothy 2:15 of the Bible.
AWANA consists of three parts. It takes two hours and has many different interesting activities. Club members take part in games, work with handbooks and service for Bible study.
1. Games AWANA includes hundreds of different games for speed, adroitness and stamina. We care about physical health of children, develop their love for achievements and victory. We also teach to acknowledge the success of others and support each other. Games are the perfect way to teach working as a team for gaining results. Thanks to games children can meet their need in activity and fun. Games are an interesting time and we encourage kids to cheer up each other and express their joy. Everybody likes games no matter of the age. We use unique system of competition for four teams in a circle. Club members and leaders take part in different games. Engaging games is the pulling power for many kids and teenagers. Boys and girls gladly invite their friends to AWANA. The main goal is to attract boys and girls for attending the club.
At this part
of the club, members use handbooks of different levels. Leaders help them in it. Handbooks help children to memorize and understand Bible verses. Even if there was no previous Bible studying, AWANA helps children and teenagers to understand God’s love and salvation. When kids get to a new level they get bright awards. Memorizing Bible verses is the main activity when working with handbooks, as our goal is to plant seeds of the Scripture into children’s hearts and help them use them on practice.
for Bible studying joins all club members for joint singing and Bible studying. Kids from unbeliever families learn Christian songs and find out what Christ has done for them at Calvary cross. This time is the best for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those children who have not repented yet. Believers can get admonition on how to obey God’s commands and grow spiritually.
AWANA club consists of three age groups:
Sparks – ages 6-9
