“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”

(Luke 2:10-11)

Christmas ministry

I am glad to share with you how God was blessing us in Christmas ministry. This Christmas season beginning from December 25 and till January 16, was intensive and full of ministries. We thank God for opportunity to have been able to serve to over 1000 children. Children programs took place at our House of prayer as well as at the church planting spots.       On January 10, the balcony and the main hall of our church were packed. We had around 300 children with their parents. On December 25, the programs were held in 3 schools of Chernobyl area. On December 26, we had our program in village Bolshoy Karashin, our missionary spot of church planters Alexey and Larisa Usachev. The family Svyrydenko organized a Christmas program at the local school of their missionary spot. Our final program took place in village Stritovka, the missionary spot of our church planter Sergey Sokolov.
During Christmas holidays we had many evangelism programs from house to house. On January 4-5, twelve teams visited 210 families in Chernobyl zone and encouraged students of the Emmaus Correspondence Bible School. After the Christmas worship service on January 7, we went to sing carols to homes of our church members. On January 7 and 8, our youth made evangelism at the metro station. On January 2-6, 18 young brothers and sisters went to the Carpathians. They had a blessed time at the youth camp. They also organized a Christmas program together with youth of the local Baptist church in Yasinya.
Although this winter is very snowy and frosty, God helped us to make all programs and bring the Gospel to families that are close and far away. It is pleasant to see new visitors at our church and people interested in studying Bible through Emmaus. Our prayer is that those who have heard the Gospel would believe and follow Christ. We are glad to have you as visitors of our site. Please continue to pray for us.
